This is a spaceship creature!

Here are two 'Lovers Eyes'.  

In the late 1700's, for about 50 years, people would send a painting or piece of  jewelry depicting one of their eyes to a lover, in memory of someone that had passed on, or even to commemorate the birth of a child.  

These modern Lovers Eyes are intended to represent both self love, as well as a love that connects us to all things in the Universe.

I enjoyed making these three "Women of Power" sculptures recently.  They stand about 5' tall.....

New Delivery

I just shipped these pieces to Deloitte in Washington DC for their new Cyber Division.  I think they will be placed in conference rooms.  I love all the different textures of metal.  They were a lot of fun to create! (48" x 6" x 1 1/2")

Painting on wood

Out of the darkness of the recent US Presidential election came a passion to create "like a team of wild stallions" coming through.  This time my creativity is taking the form of painting on wood.....with metal frames. I'm loving the metal and painted wood combined!......(you really have to see them in person to appreciate that part :-)

This guy found his Forever Home right away at the Recycled Arts Festival last weekend (held a stone's throw from Portland in Vancouver, WA)......

I caught this photo of my sculpture at Portland International Raceway the other night at sunset.  It's made of brushed aluminum, however the sun made it a beautiful yellow....(it's about 19' tall)

Whew!  What a busy 2014 so far.  I've been working on creating my online catalog of welding projects at weldingforfun.com and finally have some loaded!  Soon there will be tons of great projects to choose from.  Here's a few that I've got completed and either on the website or getting ready to load:

New Wall Sculptures

This wall sculpture is about 2ft around.................I love circles!  You might not be able to see it, but there's a metal ruler in there too.......just under the top orange piece.
